Terms of Service
1. Agreement
By inviting, installing, or using TacoShack Utility (herein “TSU” or “Bot”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. In order to use TSU, you also agree to adhere to the Discord Terms of Service and TacoShack Terms & Conditions, in order to use their products.
2. Independence and relationship to TacoShack
TSU is an independent companion bot intended to enhance the experience of those using the TacoShack bot. TSU is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by TacoShack unless explicitly stated. Not using TSU does not impact your ability to use TacoShack.
3. Eligibility and authority
You must meet the age requirements set by Discord in order to use their platform and thus the same limit applies to TSU. By inviting the bot to a Discord server, you confirm that you have the authority to do so and can configure permissions and settings for the wider server and members.
4. Required permissions and access
TacoShack Utility requires certain permissions in order to function (for example: sending messages, reading channels where installed, and reading message history where needed for its features).
Message visibility: TSU may read messages in channels where it is present to detect bot events from TacoShack and respond to user commands. It does not store general channel messages or attachments.
Restricting or modifying the default permissions for the Bot may limit or disable some features including reminders and in-channel delivery.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the bot for illegal purposes or to violate Discord/TacoShack rules
- Exploit, reverse engineer, disrupt or abuse the service
- Attempt to bypass safeguards or ratelimits
- Use the bot to harass, threaten or cause harm
6. User-provided content
You may provide content such as reminder text, custom messages or specific server configuration. You are directly responsible for the content you provide and ensuring that it is appropriate and lawful.
7. Service availability and changes
The Service is provided “as is” and may be updated, modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time. While every effort will be taken to ensure the Service is available and operational, we cannot guarantee uptime based on issues outside of our direct control, for example high-level network infrastructure issues, or issues with the Discord API, but will work to ensure service remains online.
8. Enforcement
We may restrict access or remove the bot from a server if we reasonably believe there is abuse, policy violation, security risk, or operational harm. Enforcement may also include user-level bans restricting individual use, or server-level bans restricting the installation and use of the Bot.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extend permitted by law, OMGLOLBBQROFLSAUSAGE nor its parent organisation, is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruption arising from use of the bot.
10. Governing law
OMGLOLBBQROFLSAUSAGE primarily operates based on the laws of England & Wales, however, as the Bot is operated Globally, the jurisdiction of the end-user will also be considered in any potential action.
