Privacy Policy
1. Summary
TacoShack Utility (herein “TSU” or “Bot”) is a Discord bot that provides companion utilities for Discord servers/users using TacoShack. The bot is designed to minimise data collection and does not store general channel messages.
Message Processing: The Bot may read messages in channels where it is present to detect TacoShack events and/or respond to user commands. It processes relevant data in memory and does not store general message content or attachments.
2. Data we store
To operate features like reminders and server configuration, the bot may store:
- Discord server (guild) ID
- Discord user ID
- Discord channel ID (where relevant to configuration/reminders)
- Emoji/Emote ID (where relevant to configuration/reminders)
- Username (for operational/display purposes)
- Reminder schedules and any custom reminder/alert text you explicitly provide
- Custom messages and configuration settings you explicitly provide
3. Data we do not store
As the bot is specifically designed to provide automated functionality to support users of the TacoShack bot, the amount of information we collect/process is minimal, and will never include any of the following unless explicitly noted:
- General channel message content (outside of user-provided config/reminders)
- Attachments, images, files, or message logs (outside of user-provided config/reminders)
- Real names, addresses, or Government identifiers
The only exception to the final point, is where a user adds this information into one of the noted items in “Data we store”. For example, a user who uses their real name as their Discord username, would have this information stored. Users of the Bot are responsible for the data in their own Discord profile, and the information they submit to the Bot via custom configuration (i.e. custom reminders) and OMGLOLBBQROFLSAUSAGE accepts no liability for information stored in this way.
4. How we use data
- To provide requested bot features (i.e. reminders, utilities, configuration)
- To maintain security and prevent abuse (i.e. rate limiting, diagnostics)
- To improve reliability (i.e. error handling and operational monitoring)
5. Legal basis (where applicable)
Where UK/EU data protection laws apply, processing is based on performance of a contract (providing requested features) and/or legitimate interests (operating and securing the service). As the Bot is used Globally, relevant Data Protection laws in the user’s home country will also apply and their rights will be unaffected.
6. Sharing and third parties
We do not sell data. Data is held within secure servers owned and operated by OMGLOLBBQROFLSAUSAGE and its parent company therefore no information is shared with additional third parties.
7. Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the feature, for example, reminders are retained until delivered or deleted. User configuration (custom messages, reminder schedules, personal configuration) is retained while the user continues to use the functionality of the Bot, while Server configuration (allowed channels, guild overrides, guild configuration) is retained while the Bot is installed on the server. Users are able to utilise the Bot’s functionality across multiple servers.
8. Your choices and deletion requests
You can remove reminders/configuration using Bot commands where available. Server admins can remove the bot at any time. If you want all information to be permanently wiped, you can raise a support request on our Discord Support Server (invite link in the footer of all pages on this site), confirming either your own Discord ID or the Server ID. We may require further verification to provide that you have the authority to request server related wiping.
9. Children
The Bot is intended for users who meet Discord’s minimum age requirements.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time and the effective date below will change when we do.
